Display Stationing in 3D View

Question

Is there a way to view stationing from my alignment in the 3D view? When I'm checking out my pipes or driveways in the 3D view I'd like to be able to see what station I'm at. There are other "fixes" I've found that you can do to see the stationing in the 3D view but It's not really what I'm looking for. I'm just looking for something more quality of life. 
 
 I'd like to be able to just see the stationing along the alignment in the 3D view.

Hi Christian, 
 
 Try referencing in your 2d alignment model to your 3d model and when you annotate it, it will annotate at the alignment 3d elevations. You could then select all annotation and raise them by whatever additional offset you need using the move command and accudraw if you want them to "float" above by a certain distance.

What I've always done during my 3D model workflow is to have the 3D set to top view .... 
 
 then use Civil AccuDraw to tell me where my station is in 2D, while the 3D (blue) cursor appears in 3D... 
 
 EDIT: May not have been clear, it also works when holding your cursor in the 3D view. (also only in Top View mode - which is understandable)

Hi Christian, 
 Have you tried to simply attaching the 2D model with annotation group as a reference under the 3D model? You can adjust the Z-value in the reference window to the desired height. Eventually the display style can be changed to wireframe as needed.
