Currently to get existing elevations based off of the alignment I use Civil Accudraw's Station-Offset feature along with the Analyze Between Points tool. However, I was hoping for a way to automate this at repeat stations and offsets to get a large amount of existing elevation data at once. Is there a report or tool that does this? Ideally I would enter a range of stations and a width of offsets to account for, as well as the step interval for both the stations and offsets. The result would be a grid of elevation data points that are all in reference to the horizontal alignment line.
Any amount of automation here would be helpful, the current method of one point at a time is too slow for what I want to use it for.
Thanks.
Thanks, I had thought to use a corridor but was not aware of the gradebook report, that should be perfect.
If a corridor is created along the alignment including template components representing the location of where the existing terrain elevations are to be extracted then after placing cross section named boundaries, the cross section gradebook report can be used to report all of the template points with existing elevations at the locations of the named boundaries.
