Where do I get feature definitions, ex: alignment? My feature definition box is empty

In all these ord videos, apparently its suppose to just populate as "alignment" in the drop down in the feature definition toolbar. 
 Mine is empty, and I don't know how to set this up where it will generate those options.

If I had to guess, I'd say that maybe when you first launched the software you didn't actually pick a "Workspace and Workset".
