How to setup horizontal geometry annotation

Hello, I'm working with OpenRoads Modeling. I created an horizontal geometry, using NYSDOT workspace. When using Element Annotation, it doesn't show the PI STA info. Where to go to set this up?

Thank you,

Lucilia

  • I still couldn't find the answer to my question on those videos. I used to work with InRoads and when select "View Geometry" and "View Stationing" there are options to select data info to display like PI's, PVC and PVT points.

  • Annotation is far more complex in ORD, so it's no longer as simple as selecting an option to include it. It's also no longer as simple as just creating a new ad hoc label style. Without watching the links, I suspect your answer IS in there. It's just a lot more involved than what we are used to.

If the NYSDOT alignment annotation isn't including a PI Sta., perhaps you could contact someone there. It may seem obvious, but I've run across items missing from DOT workspaces before. If they have a CAD Manual, it might be worth reviewing that - I know of a couple DOTs that include a section saying (essentially) "this doesn't work the way you expect, so here's how to make it function".
