Hi all,
Our market requires Curve Widening to be applied by widening the lanes towards the inside of curve. ORD has always applied widening towards the outside of curve.
Adding minuses to the curve widening values doesn't seem to change the calculated offsets - Has anyone been able to get it to widen towards the inside of curve?
Regards,
Mark
Hi Mark,
If you use a curve widening table and select the right point it should work, only you have to to this for both points.
Did some quick test here... not sure if this is what you are looking for.
Cheers,
Christiaan
Thanks Christiaan, now i recall why i abandoned this years ago - it has issues when a lane component crosses the Alignment.
My application is a seperated dual carriageway where the control line is on the inside edge of the carriageway.
If i run 2 widening files, one for the inside edge that only widens when the lane is on the outside of a curve and a second one that applies widened lane widths for all lanes, it looks to have an issue on locations where the inside of lane crosses over the Alignment to the other side.
It looks to apply the widening to the lane width measured from the alignment, although the lane outside has a distance constraint to the lane inside (so when the lane inside moves, the width stays relative to that).
Also having a lane edge at the Alignment location does not default to being treated as inside or outside. It does nothing unless it is offset 2mm from either side. Ive also played with Priorities with no luck seeing if that would resolve it.
