I'm hoping this is just a stupid question but how do you change the reference of a linear template? e.g. I want to attached it to a different alignment.
You can't use the corridor reattach tool or corridors dialogue box. I couldn't find it in properties or the right click/context menu.
Not sure it is possible. No idea why corridor reattach would not work, but it doesn't.
Would seem to not be able to do it, especially with the reattach tool.
If you are using ORD 10.11, there is a trick to make it work - run the reattach command, force process it and reattach it again and it will successfully relink the baseline to the new element. It also (unintentionally) creates a shadow copy of the baseline like Corridors do in case the parent geometry is deleted (so it doesnt just delete itself when the baseline is removed).
In ORD 10.12 they disabled the Corridor Reattach command - we are doing some in-house programming to build our own version of it because it is critical to our workflows. Hopefully they fix it sometime soon...

Thanks Mark. That's useful to know it's not just me.
As you say it's critical for using linear templates efficiently.
