I have a pretty simple template that I'm using. It's very similar to a ramp typical where the BL is along the Left edge of the travel lane and I want to use the Left edge of my shoulder (LEOP) as my left range point when setting up superelevation control lines. It doesn't show up in my list of points when I'm trying to add a superelevation section. The Right edge of travel (RTLL) and Right edge of shoulder (REOP) both show up in the list. I know that I can control this with rollover locks but I shouldn't have to; what gives?
Turn on the Triangulated Surface option in the Roadway Designer. This may show you where the problem lies. My suspicion is the vertical face at the EOP. This is causing the EOP to be skipped in triangulation. The point list is populated with finish grade (triangulated) points.
There could be other causes but this is generally the most common cause of the behavoir.

Thomas,
I don't see this option is the Roadway Designer. I'm using InRoads v08.08.00.46 with Microstation v08.05.02.70.
this was added later. When you are in superelevation mode, check the cross section view. This should display the triangulated surface between the 'hinge' points.
Another suggestion is you can always assing the superelevation point control manually through the point control dialog. All points should be visible there.
Looking at it in the cross section view (superelevation mode) you're right the vertical face next to this point does not show up.
Why is that, and what can I do about it?
Provide a miminal horizontal offset for the point located above the EOP point. That should correct your issue.
Good luck
