If your design surface has two existing surfaces at one cross section do you have to run the volume calulations twice, once with each surface? How does this affect fill factors and unsuitable materials. Thanks,
From the help file - "You may have multiple existing, design, or substrata in a given cross section set. However, you must have only one existing surface for any given cross section at a given station in order to compute volumes. If you have more than one design surface in a section, they should not overlap."

Brian,
Pick one. and go with it. If the two lines abut each other. then take the end of one and add vertices to the OG linestring. Snap to the vertices of the one you are going to delete from that section. IOTW, trace over it with the OG line you want to keep.
Then use the element selection tool and select the OG line you are going to remove.hit Delete in MicroStation.
then when you run your volumes run them up to that section and then end of the OG for the first set, then run them for the second OG set. That should work.
There are other tips and tricks you can use.
Good luck
Thomas
You may need to create a separate set of cross sections for this surface. then run EAV on that surface. i will investigate on my end but this appears to be the solution at this point.
