Don't y'all have a VBA somewhere on the Bentley website that auto-outputs all the configuration variables to a txt file? I can't find it on the Bentley website any longer.

If you can't find it either, send me an email and I'll send you the last version I have of this VBA.

Hi Neil,

the configuartion variables that are available are found in the Civil Help.

Help>Civil Help

Search: use the key word "Configuration"

You should see 3 results (thats how many I saw).

Select "Getting Started"

Once you get to the Getting Started page, there should be a "Configuration Variables" link.

Click the link and the page that opens will list the available configuration variables.

HTHs,

Michael,

Can you offer suggestions on how to go about finding the various system variables that are available in Power Civil? Right now I want to set a default .ddb file for D&C Manager. I don't know where to look or how to find it.

Michael,

These variables are configured. Today i am getting nothing coming up in except a blank black box which when double clicked on shows no cells available.

This is after going into site modeler --- Elements ---- New/Edit --- Section ---

Any ideas? I think yesterday it was showing up the drainage cells as i had been editing them earlier that day

Any healp would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Chris,

the answer to this question is similar to the response from Derricke on your previous question.

The MS config variables for Cells need to be set to include the path of and cell library name of the CEL file you are setting up.

Workspace>Configuration>Cells>Cell Library Directories

Workspace>Configuration>Cells>Cell Library List

Populate these variables with the folder and file name and you should be good to go.

HTHs

BTW: Did You Know??

If you typically use the DDB (Design & Computation Manager) to set element symbologies in your plans, then the Cells can contain a "spot/point" at each of the vertices. These "points" should be placed in the cells using the D&C Place Influence (using the appropriate item) and when the cell is later used in Composite Section, the plan elements will be created using the D&C items...
