I cannot seem to get any comp sections to work. It doesnt matter wether i go through Roadway network, Roadway create/edit or simply through the comoposite section tool.
I have had them working many a time before but spent a whole day yesterday trying to get them to work again. I have been through several bentley tutorials, used bentely data but still no luck.
Is there a toggle or something that has been deactivated without realising.
Any help would be greatley appreciated.

Robert is right on the mark.
The two things that typically will cause Comp Section a problem are 1) Symbology and 2) Search distance.
Using DDB Items as a habit will help remove the Symbology issues.
And, as Robert said, Scan Distance is always from the Primary Element (typically a centerline type element). The element that is being seacrhed for must have all its vertices within the search distance.
Just check and see if the items that cannot be found are complex. If seen situations where the elements appear to be within the search distance but they are actually part of a complex and some portion of the complex is outside the distance...
And, if you are still having problem, shoot me the data and I'll take a quick look.

The most usual issues I encounter is incorrect symbology or incorrect search distances. Double check these. Remember that the search distance is always measured from the baseline (centerline).
If your double-check fails then post a sample dataset for review.
