How do you get InRoads to annotate geometry element bearings on one side of the geometry, with no rotation relative to the geometry direction? The stationing can be annotated to read from one side and from one direction but geometry bearing switches sides depending on the direction of the line, making some annotation read from the same direction as the stationing and other bearing read upside down with respect to the stationing. I would like the stationing and element bearing to be read in the same direction all along the alignment.

Mike Longstreet and Mick Inkster did you ever get to the bottom of this?
I've been messing around and have asked essentially the same question How to annotate horizontal on only one side of alignment? and would be keen to hear how you got on.
Hi George,
I did end up getting the annotation to be on one side or the other using the "View Horizontal Annotation" tool by ticking both the "Display As Complex Linestring" and the "Orient with Element" options.
In the style you need to have the Symbology orientation as "Along"

Hi Mick Inkster, thanks for your reply.
I stumbled across the same trick but when I do this each character of the text is individual rather than being a string of text. For example "T" "R" "S" "L" "1" "2" "3" rather than "TRS L 123".
I suppose in some way this makes sense as it ensures every character is "Along" and "Oriented" by the same value. This is impossible to do with a string of text as the insertion point can be fixed and controlled but due to the variance in the length of text each character will be a different offset from the line as it's a rigid line of text and not a flexible set of characters.
Did you experience the same? I'd be interested to know.
