Hi,
I have created a bunch of GPK points i want to provide for earthworkds setout buy using autostore graphics and assigning elevations from my finished tin model.
I can then create a co-ord table easy enough for these points however i want to diplay the points (with a symbol) in plan view and have the point number from the GPK database (and maybe the description too) display also.
How would i go about this? Any tips on the best way?
I thought it would be through using SMD or Labelling but cant seem to work this out.
Thanks in advance,
Frosty
Hi Frosty,
My first thought is to set up an SMD item exactly how you want the points labeled. You can assign symbols or cells, show the point numbers and elevations and more... So create a new SMD item for your stakeout points.
Then assign all the points you have created with that feature code.
Once thats done, you should be able to visualize them from COGO and they will have the settings based on that SMD feature.
Now... did you work out how to assign the elevations to your points from your Site Model/Object?
I formulated a method for creating stakeout points a few years ago that always seemed to work well... I can send an AVI if you like. Just shoot me an email.
Bye for now,
