Hi,

I just explained how to do this in another thread. Here's the link.

Is there a way to do this into Powercivil? I've looked for the file>import>surface but can not find this anywhere.

Thanks

Likely the points were created in Land Desktop. Land Desktop allows the user to place the physical point element at elevation zero (for 2D drafting purposes) while the point's elevation data is extracted from the points database for 3D operations.

InRoads definitely can do it. You need to go to File->Import->Surface and in the graphics tab change the elevations box to read Text.

It should then bring in the points based on the X & Y and the Text as the elevation.

HTH
