I am having a problem using Inroads version 08.09.02.16. When I display cross sections in Microsation XM using this Inroads version, I tend to have lines missing in the finished cross sections. These missing segments are displayed in the roadway designer and I am positive that they are on the correct styles and should be showing up. The wierd thing is, when I display the same cross-sections with the same .ird and .xin files using Inroads 8.8, all of the previously missing segments show up normally.
Has anybody else had this happen, or know if this is a bug that may have been fixed in the latest release?
Here's a PDF showing the problem. You can see that there are multiple missing subgrade and base lines. The only change when these were displayed was the version of Inroads being used. Although a few of the segments appear to be vertical, all are slightly skewed horizontally by one hundredth of a foot to avoid triangulation issues.
Do you have "Create Alternate Surface" clicked on for your subgrade design. If so, it looks to me like some of the points do not have it clicked on.
Todd,
I've seen this happen before. It usually happens when there is a closed component that only has two points in it. Check your components and make sure the Closed Shape flag is off for these components. This has been fixed in the upcoming release of V8i SS1.
