InRoads: Components only created in some intervals in Roadway designer

I have a simple corridor, everything works fine with my simple template (no components, just a "thin" surface).

Then I change my template, and add a component (thickness of asfalt), go to Roadway designer, and syncronises with the template from the library. Everything still works fine, and when I review my design in the roadway designer, everythins is as it should be (see attached file).

But when I create the surface, and draw a cross section set, then the component is not created for the first part of my DTM. That is, the features are there, but the component is not created. I get wrong cut/fill volumens then.

WHY does the software do so, and WHAT can be done to fix it?

A restart does not help, and the same problem occurs in other corridors as well. I don't believe this is caused by me using the software in a wrong way, I simply cannot understand what I should have been done that could cause this problem.

  • You can also use AUTOCAD CIVIL 3D for roadway design. If is the most powerful civil engineering and survey software that facilitates project team to design, analyse and optimize transportation project.

  • Is this guy trying to retaliate for Mr. Barkasi posting on the Autodesk discussion groups?  Despite being called some bad names by Autodesk users, at least Mike tries to be constructive and help.  So unless you have something useful to add here, please do us a favor and save your marketing rah-rah for your own website.
