I recently tried installing PowerCivil v8i (not NA) but was informed I needed to remove a previously installed product.without informing me as to what product must be removed.
Any ideas?

not really. If you have PCNA instaled - it could be that.
Do you have any other "Power" products or an earlier version of PowerCivil installed??
I'm scratching my head really. In theory, this is a "stand-alone" product. The only time I've need to uninstall anything before installing PC is when I had an earlier version installed.
Any chance you can let us know what you do have installed currently (product and version numbers)? It may give me a clue...
