I get this when I start PowerCivil for the first time. My options are Metric or Quit. I am an IT guy not a PowerCivil user. They want English units so what now?
Thanks
Hi,
the "Civil" portion of PowerCivil read the MicroStation design file unit setting when you open the program and enter a DGN.
If the DGN units are different from the currently set Civil units, it pops up the message you see.
What this is tell you is that the current DGN file is Metric and the Civil software wants to synchronize the "Civil" settings to Metric so everything is in "synch".
It sounds like you wish to use an Imperial DGN file - correct?
Do you want International feet or USA feet?
There are a number of DGN "seed" files delivered with PowerCivil, you just need to start with an Imperial one.
I will have to find out about whether they want Intl Feet or USA feet.
How do I manage the seed files or where can I find it in the Help file? I looked and see no references other than under Survey variables.
Thanks!
Mark
