I'm working on a project where stationing on alignments runs upstream (probably to be consistent with river miles which start with mile 0 at the mouth) . But plan sheets are ordered with the flow of the river - down station/ downstream. This means that InRoads cross sections are ordered in the opposite direction of the plan sheets, which can be confusing. I'd like to see the Direction controls expanded to include either Left to Right (default) and Right to Left or Upstation (default) and Down Station. It'd also be good to be able to have a choice of cross section orientation: Looking Up Station (default) (i.e. looking upstream) and Looking Down Station (i.e. looking downstream).
I can mirror the cross section set, but that screws up the intelligence of the cross sections. I can change the text to view independent, rotate the view 180 degrees on the Y axis, and create a saved view for reference into an unrotated view; but the view independent text changes location and appears offset to the right of where it should be. And in either case, if the last column of sections is not a complete column, then the reversed set appears with an incomplete first column which just doesn't look right and begs comments from reviewers like "Why is there only one section in the first column? Please adjust the sections appropriately."
Larry,
There is already an existing request for this functionality. Please refer to S-13392.
