Can't create new profile - "Horizontal center axes not displayed"

I am trying, but not able, to cut a profile for a new alignment using the same settings I have used for many other profiles on this project.

When I click apply, I get an message in the message bar at the bottom of the Microstation window that says "Horizontal center axes not displayed. Negative lower boundary required."  I tried to troubleshoot it by setting the controls for my profile window to have a negative elevation as the lower boundary, but that didn't help. I found a similar sounding post that had an error saying vertical center axes not displayed and the recommendation was to turn that off, but I don't know how.

 Any help would be appreciated!
