hi,
I work with a few corridors and In roadway designer I create a single surface built of these corridors. In clipping options I set one corridor clipping another - as a result I get a designed surface. I am satisfied with this surface, howewer when I displayed cross sections I noticed that clipped components are not displayed. I can display all the components of the clipping corridor but clipped components of the other corridor are not displayed. Since I cannot display them with Surface/View components, I guess clliped components were deleted.
Is there a way to display clipped components in plan view and cross sections? How can I include these components in volume calculations?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Adam.
Check out this link if you were part of the beta testing. http://communities.bentley.com/Communities/Other_Communities/Bentley_Civil_V8i__SELECTseries_1__Early_Access_Program/f/70962/t/48038.aspx
I attached it as a pdf if you don't have access.
I too would like to have the ability to display these "clipped" compontents.
Thanks Brian for reminding this. I've had a feeling I saw this problem on forum and indeed I read this post when beat testing. Unfortunately nothing has changed in this matter.
... and there is no easy way to include clipped components in volume calculations.
Regards,
Adam,
End condition clipping should not affect Earthwork for End Area volumes since you have the Design surface displayed. It will, however, affect closed component volumes that get clipped and can no longer be displayed.
This type of clipping is controlled in the Clipping Options toggle set to "Clip All"
