I am having a problem with surface files continually getting corrupted. I am creating a new surface by importing breaklines into the surface (file -->import --> surface). I am importing these features as single elements. When I go to display them on a profile, they generally display the first time. If I close the file and re-open it, and try to display the surface cross feature on a profile, inroads freezes or shuts down immediately and the file is then corrupted. I am at a loss as to why these files are continually getting corrupted. They are not large files. Is there something about importing a feature as a breakline or contour? Or is it something with the styles? Or could it be something with the way the particular inroads and microstation versions I have interact with each other?
Microstation version 8xm revision 8.09.04.88
inroads version V08.09.02.16
Hello Kate,
This workflow is standard and the versions are compatible. Would you like to send me your files so I may have a look at them and rerun your workflow? Please send your files (*.DTM, *.ALG, *.XIN, *.DGN) to Andrea.Presto@Bentley.com
Thank you,
Andrea
Hi Andrea,

Hi Tariq,
You might want to look at this post for some information,

When the product crashed, it caused the corruption of the file because it was not saved properly. This particular issue was caused from a third party application.
Thanks,
Andrea Presto
