I was wondering if anyone else was having issues with seeing these tool sets in the MicroStation>Tools drop down? In the help file, there are screen shots showing these tools listed in the Tools drop down. I don't see them when I bring up the Tools drop down. Below is a screen shot from the help file.
The versions mentioned here MS 08.11.07.180 and GPK 08.11.07.227 are one of the first SS1 builds (from early 2010); I installed MS build 08.11.07.180 (which is a combo of 08.11.07.171 +08.11.07.180 update.exe) and GPK 08.11.07.229 the closest to 227 I found (user has 227) and this is one of the first SS1 builds……not even SS1 refresh yet…….and I was able to confirm that Data Acquisition in this build does not include import surface from Pointcloud. I can see the DA task icon with no problem (which is one of the user problems).(maybe calling support can assist you with this second problem)
I recommend that you to upgrade to latest MicroStation ss2 08.11.07.443 and Geopak 08.11.07.615 where Import surface from Point cloud is included.
Any solution? missing this CFG files...
Cooper: Do you have Geometry, Roundabouts and Civil Accudraw available? These three and Data Acquisition get loaded by way of the GEOPAK.cfg file. I assume you guys use a Nebraska workspace which would be first thing I would check. When incorporated the new Geopak install into your workspace the necessary files for Data Acquisition may not have gotten properly configured.
In Geopak.CFG, there are several news lines added which load the new tools including Data Acquisition. It might be possibe that when using custom workspaces or user workspacxes that these could get missed. The lines in question are in two groups. The upper group:
%include $(CommonProgramFiles)/Bentley Shared/Civil Platform/08.11.07/Bentley Civil Assembly Location MS - Required.2.0.cfg %include $(CommonProgramFiles)/Bentley Shared/Civil Platform/08.11.07/Bentley CivilPlatform.cfg %include $(CommonProgramFiles)/Bentley Shared/MX/08.11.07/Bentley Civil MX Assemblies MS.cfg %include $(CommonProgramFiles)/Bentley Shared/RoadwayDesign/08.11.07/Bentley Civil Roadway Design MS.cfg
All of these lines must be called for proper operation of GEOPAK and the new tools.
And the lower group:
%include $(BC_COMMONFILES)Bentley Civil Accudraw.cfg %include $(BC_COMMONFILES)Bentley Civil DA.cfg %include $(BC_COMMONFILES)Bentley Civil Geometry.cfg %include $(BC_COMMONFILES)Bentley Civil GPS.cfg %include $(BC_COMMONFILES)Bentley Civil Roundabouts.cfg
Notice in the lower group Bentley Civil DA is called. First thing to check is make sure this is being called in your installations.
Next notice that the lower group is "including" CFG files stored elsewhere. Make sure these CFG file exist at the location defined.
