I am very new to MS and Geopak so please forgive me for my sheer ingnorance of this software. I have used Land Development/Civil 3-d for 10+ years and have had to make the switch just recently. Anyways,
I am trying to define an alignment (centerline of a road) and can't seem to get anywhere with it. I am trying to do this with the "store chain" within the horizontal alignment geometry menu. When I go to select my element that I want as my alignment it tells me "element not valid for this tool". I have tried using a smartline and also just a basic line. What am I doing wrong? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Ashley;
Sorry for your frustration. If you have drawn the alignment with MicroStation and would now like it to be a Chain in GEOPAK then use the Store Graphics command under the ROAD>GEOMETRY>STORE GRAPHICS pull down menu. This tool will take the graphic you pick and store it as a chain in COGO.
If you have questions then let me know by sending me an email and I can call you and step you through the process.
