Have you ever had a situation like this where you need to fit a fixed length line between two non parallel elements?

This tip is what I was looking for but unable to make the software do what I wanted. I guess it is also time to become proficient in Civil Accudraw.

Hi,
This is very helpful, but I can't seem to make it snap to the line I want. I get the message "Element not valid for tool".
I'm not sure if it matters but the lines I'm trying to use are in a refrencefile.
I've followed your instructions from the film, but get the feeling there is something wrong. I'm using PowerCivil v8i.
I'm a beginner at this, so the problem might be something ridiculous.
