Chaps,
I've converted an AutoCAD block to a macrosymbol and called it SCHERM. I then made some modifications to the original and reconverted it but MX still finds the unchanged one. I tried again, calling my new macrosymbol BCHERM and deleting all SCHERMs in the macro folders and deleting my MACRO model and the display but SCHERM is still present somewhere. I expected to find the big + when a macrosymbol is missing but no.
Any clues on how to delete / overwrite it? I've tried using a 907 but I get:
MACRO W152 This option is no longer available907,SCHE,RML8 E001 Invalid option
despite MACRO 901 / 902 appearing at the top of every .mcm file in the macro folder.

Hi, Simon, how's things?
I'm in Amsterdam now - Abu Dhabi was getting just TOO hot!. I'm working on the Coentunnel project for Johan Kuppens' infranea.
Keep me informed on this little bug - you can use my blueandtan email address.
mvg,
Simon,
I tried running the symbol in a new project but still got the old version so I assume the symbol definition must be hard-coded somewhere 'cause it's not on my hard drive. I ran the file on another machine and (obviously) got the correct symbol displayed, but I haven't modified that to see if the same problem occurs on that PC (XP and MX 2004 - I'm running Vista and XM).
However, a new problem cropped up: some of the coordinates in the MMS file are small (-2.04615e-055) and 2004 cannae handle them. I got this HOOPS Error which then gave me an E0362 - Macro specified is of wrong type for all subsequent macro calls, even for standard MX symbols. Had to restart MX (2004) in order to solve it. Not sure if Bentley are "fixing" 2004...? Anyroad, changing all the small coords to 0.000 solved the HOOPS Error and the symbols look good. I'd just like to be able to see them on my PC!
Did you have a chance to look at this? It's getting quite annoying - I'm receiving constant changes to required macrosymbols and the only way I can get these to show is by using a different name and therefore have to re-issue the cross-section macro each time.
I've attached an mms (although your forum doesn't recognise the file type so I've renamed it to txt). Draw it in cross-section at any scale. It's a simple arch. Now edit the file and remove a load of the lines, say 15-104; this should lop off part of the curve. Draw it again in xsec and the original is still shown. Grrrr!
Even opened and saved the new mms in the Macrosymbol Editor in case that "refreshed" the macrofile, but no.
