Our second question on templates is in regards to end condition exceptions.
In our backbone template, we have the edge of our pavement structure extending to the front slope of the ditch using the constraint "Vector-Offset" on two points (the edge of pavement and bottom of ditch). However, when we have an end condition exception that changes the ditch from say a straight 4:1 slope to a benched 6:1 then 4:1, the pavement structure does not get updated (even though we've placed a dummy point at the slope break location with the same name as the point constraint in the template).
We are trying to figure out how best to draw in special ditches that have their own alignment and profile? What do other people use? Several Templates, end condition exceptions, parametric constraints, etc etc. Our ditches are rarely ever constant side slope, offset and depth. Any advice is helpful.
Thanks.
I have prepared a video that may be of some assistance. It may be downloaded here:

The video will show how to do this. I agree you should avoid Component Display Rules in End Conditions at all times. Using Parent child relationships along with priorities is the way to go.
You may find this helpful as well.

Chuck,
Thanks for posting, what do I need to do to gain access to GEOPAK's FTP site?
Much thanks!
Jon
You won't be able to gain access but you should be able to paste the link into Internet explorer as is. Let me know if there are problems.
Thanks. I'll take a look at what you've posted.
