When Generating cross sections, the existing ground line always displays to the limits of the left and right axis . When this includes datum above the top elevation limit the line continues to display above the grid, over to the section edges. The toggle to 'Show Data Outside elevation Range' has no affect on the results.
This happens on a variey of projects using differing prefernces etc.
Any suggestions?
Mike
Yes I have seen this issue and it remains the same in v8i. If you for example set the Elevation Limits in the Controls leaf and the Surface model is above or below the set range it will still display reagardless of the "Show Data Outside Elevation Range" toggle.
I have for the most part ingored this issue because we generally set our Elevation Range to include all that we need, there is generally nothing outside the cross section range set. Just lucky I guess. But it is an issue especially if there are very high or low spots near the Source Alignment. Thanks can you file this as an SR?

Our typical projects here in WV have a lot of vertical relief along the alignment and existing groundlines often run 30 to 45 degrees to the grid axis. This issue appears often and requires trimming with each new section set. It should be working correctly and unless we're missing something then the SR should be filed.
Thanks
