I have just come to do this process of Optimization which consists of setting my 2% by 2% template onto my OG. Then matching to either LEP, CL or REP depending which one it hits first, so we can PADD only. This used to be a long process of using a template with 3 points at each of the LEP, CL or REP. I heard this process had been made easy in the new version of V8i, but I can't see where it would be...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is in the new overlay option in Roadway Designer. At the bottom right corner of RD, toggle on Overlay. This makes 4 new overlay commands available. These commands can be used to optimize overlay/repaving jobs. Also, a new component type has been added (Overlay/Stripping). All this was added in V8i SELECTSeries 1.
