Is anyone using InRoads (XM or V8i) to do ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) sidewalk ramp design or drafting of details for plans? What procedure and tools do you use?
Thanks - Lennie Torgerson, Oregon DOT
I've seen something from VT AOT that seems to indicate that they have done some work towards that goal with InRoads. I have seen a number of posts from one of their InRoads users so I know they are very willing to share info.
And Md SHA has some type of tool in their workspace that draws plan view graphics for sidewalk ramps. Unfortunately, they are not very active on this newsgroup and even emails to them frequently go unanswered. They blame budgetary constraints. As a former MD SHA employee, I may be able to be of some assistance once you have looked at what they have.

I use the generate transverse feature command and create the lines in 3d right in the DTM. Works well, helpful to have the ramp already laid out in microstation 2d as a reference file
