Inroads Suite - snaps not working with horizontal and vertical alignments

We have been using inroads for years and we've noticed in the latest version of inroads (ss2) something is broke when snapping.  You can't snap to elements when doing vertical or horizontal alignments.  It snaps quickly and then goes back.  I've tried element lock and snap lock on and off and it doesn't change this behavior.  Every once and a while it will work correctly but only if you go out of MS and go back in.

Anyone else see this?

  • (Using Microstation 08.11.07.443 with InRoads 08.11.07.494) - I've been having the same or similar problem. In an InRoads-generated profile window, I had sketched in with Microstation some line graphics that I wanted to use to modify a vertical alignment. When using Geometry -> Vertical Curve Set -> Move PI, if I tried to snap (tentative) to one of the Microstation graphics, the snap would not work. I'm pleased to report that - for me at least - the solution posted 03/28/14 by Susan Torelli worked for me. I removed attached reference files (even though they were not associated with the operation at hand) one by one, testing the InRoads command each time. When I removed the 3rd of my 4 attached references, suddenly the snaps worked. I see nothing unique about the file that would cause this condition, but thank you Susan for posting! Incidentally, I believe I may have had a similar problem moving drainage structures using InRoads Storm & Sanitary - and I may have noticed a similar thread on that topic. Next time I encounter that one, I'll try the reference file solution. Would love to know the "why" but for now I'm happy to be back to work!

  • Thanks Steve!! Worked for me as well.
