Roundabouts

Where is this roundabout being placed?  My firm is probably working on it.  We have designed numerous roundabouts in rural Pennsylvania and once people get used to them they love them.  You are going to start seeing them more and more in the states because they are safer, cost less than a traffic signal to maintain and most times don't require as much roadwork as installing turning lanes at a standard intersection.

My firm to date has designed 16 roundabouts,  6 are currently built and being used,

our first was a urabn roundabout in Glens fall NY,  as part of a downtown streetscape

came out great and most love it over the old 8 minute delay at the signal

We are familiar with the ones on Route 15 in PA - Hanover and Oxford, I believe. They work well and have been there for years. People tell us the ones in NJ don't work so well.  Europe, of course, is full of them and sometimes it is just a light bubble in the middle of the intersection.
