Is it possible to get a report for normal distance of several points fron the road centre line..say electric post points from centre line..I am having a point string for electric poles...

Hello Poja,
uncheck the checkbox "Single Perpendicular":
Reference String would be the point string with the electric poles, intersected string your road centreline.
BTW - you can find the matching 'old fashioned' report option in the MX menu: Report > Geometric Reports > Distance and Bearing of Several Normals...
