How to create the surface as shown below using the template? I tried to create a closed shape for the bottom of the surface, then apply the template (Design Surface -> Apply Template), I couldn't get the surface as shown below. Anybody please kindly show me some tricks. Thanks in advance.

If you want to run a template around a closed shape, you need to use a half template. In your example, the inner area is from the inner half of the template.

Run the template around a closed shape, that's the only method I could think of , if any other method to use?
There is also an apply template along feature tool in the design surface or edit surface toolboxes / tasks.
