I have been looking for this for a long time, and now it's time to ask the question to the people who might know the answer.
I work with several seabed DTMs and often create profiles to view vertical shifts. Mostly I have one design survey with lots of surveys covering bits and pieces of the design survey area.
What I am missing is a way to automaticly insert the names of my DTMs in both plan view, profile and cross-sections. I have played around with the annotate profile tool, but with no success.
If you're talking about auto-populating some of the fields on your sheets, this can be done using the INCIV Tag Set and Enter Data fields using the Plan and Profile Generator.
However, something tells me you're talking about labeling your graphics in your DGN file, while working on it. Is this correct? If so, you can place a title on your profiles and cross-sections at the time you create them. Click on the Details folder, then click Title, and you can enter your title. The title will display in a box at the top of the profile window (you can enable the Relative to Bottom Axis and it will display towards the bottom), and for the cross-sections, it will display at the top of each individual cross-section. For labeling your surfaces in plan view, you can create a Drafting Note with the Surface Name property. You can choose None for a leader, and put a frame around it to give it a Label appearance if you like. Actually, you can create Drafting Notes for the profiles and cross-sections as well, though there's already the 'title tool' available.
If you need help with any of the above, just post back.
P.S.

So in other words, you want half plan view, half profile, and half cross-sections, right? lol just kidding. Sorry, couldn't resist.
