Use the level manager. If the elements are placed with by level colors, you can change them in here and they will both display and plot that way.

If the elements are placed with individual colors, you need to switch to Level Overrides and then, it makes them act by level - except that to see them as set in the level overrides, you also need to turn on Level Symbology in the View Attributes. Again, if you plot with Level Symbology turned on for plotting, they will plot that way too.

use the reference manager and the function change color, with the option "Print changed colors"

use pentables during the plot/print process

Search the forum for priotity,

element priority is 2D working only, if you have a 3D Modell, Z-value counts!

Hello Adam,

Could You tell me how to change this attribute? While opening "Element information" window there is no such attribute. In "Change attribute" panel this options is disable. I need to change something in settings?

You should look into the "Priority" attribute. A numeric priority value may be assigned to an element, a level, or a reference file (or all three) and MicroStation will put the elements with the highest numerical priority values above/in front of all elements with lower values.

It's actually quite an elegant system.

When you have attached the reference to the drawing if you go to Setting on the Reference Manager and Select Update Sequence you can adjust what order to display the reference and the drawing it self using the arrow buttons.
