Thanks for the clarification. I do need the option to export in plain text as we already have existing batch routine scripts to clean up and modify the mx output to the company standard (layer, colours, text styles, etc). As a workaround, I've created a script to convert the mtext to plain text so that our batch routines work.

I'd appreciate it if you can create a service ticket for this issue.

I've had a look at the text export in the current release of MX v8i, version 08.11.07.494, and on this version when exporting to a DWG the all text is now set to export as MTEXT. This change was requested by another user due to MTEXT being more flexible then plain TEXT when amending and updating the text.

If you feel that there is a need to have the option to select which type of text (MTEXT or plain TEXT) when exporting to DWG let me know and I'll log a feature request for this.

I'll need some information from you as I'll have to create a service ticket for this issue, the info I require is listed below.

Full Name

Company Name and location

Email Address

Phone Number

Site ID (You can get this by going to Help>About MX)

Regards

Thanks for the reply. That's already the procedure I'm doing. What I'm really after is a switch or option in MX to export all the texts in plain text, not mtext. I was hoping that someone from Bentley can give me an answer.

Regards,

I don't know the internal MX mechanism for CAD export :( but I suggest to export as multi-paged than in AutoCAD "Quick Select -> MText -> Select all" and than explode :)
