InRoads Set-up

Hi guys,

I just started at a new company in OZ. They have recently installed V8i SS2 power InRoads. My colleague has decided this is the perfect time to redo their xin files and get them to where we want to have them, to be fully suited to our work and our clients.

My question to you guys is thus:
With this new set-up, how should we go about outputting to our client's Level/Layer requirements?

  1. Do we first make our office xin and create the client specific xin's from that? This will mean switching between xins.
  2. Do we make our Office xin, create the drawings in our level/layer set-up, and then transpose afterwards. (I hear there is a command in Microstation to do this)

What have you guys found is the best way to go about this? We have multiple clients, which means having multiple xins will mean a lot of house keeping to keep on top of them.

Thanks for any help, in advance.
