Hi guys,
I just started at a new company in OZ. They have recently installed V8i SS2 power InRoads. My colleague has decided this is the perfect time to redo their xin files and get them to where we want to have them, to be fully suited to our work and our clients.
My question to you guys is thus: With this new set-up, how should we go about outputting to our client's Level/Layer requirements?
What have you guys found is the best way to go about this? We have multiple clients, which means having multiple xins will mean a lot of house keeping to keep on top of them.
Thanks for any help, in advance.

It can depend on the deliverable requirements - paper output only gives you complete freedom. CAD file only - no DTM's, ALG, etc. gives less freedom, but still quite a bit. If they want all of those - an XIN for each client may be the only solution.
There are tools for copying items between XIN files and importing and exporting some symbologies. Also, XML Reports can report on XIN files - there are threads in this newsgroup where this is touched on. These reports can help identify areas to concentrate on. To get more information on XIN files will require customized XML reports as the sample provided are limited in scope.

You left tropical Sudbury eh?
Thanks Caddcop.
Yes Steve, I'd had enough. I was given the opportunity to come to Australia, so I took it. My sister is over here as well.
