Hi,
I have some survey features with some more lines of custom operations. In some crazy cases I can not add more lines to the edit windows as then the cursor suddently jumps to another lineand deletes parts of my custom operations.
I have : win xp SP3 with all windows updates, IE 8 with all updates, MS ss2 .446 (german) IR SS2 .494(german)
I already had a Service Ticket, but bentely could not help me, because support has a windows issue in mind. And indeed it depends onsome win xp workstations, but not all!
So what part of windows, IE, NET, DHTML may force this behaviour? Any help or hint is appreciated!
Is this ever going to be fixed?
It seems to me that once you reach a certain number of custom operations, the editor goes haywire. And worse, if you open a feature and look at the codes, it sometimes thinks you have made an edit and it offers to save the edit, all screwed up. If you don't realize what it is asking, you might just allow it.

For me it is still a Windows issue, because some of my other colleagues with other PC's and windows user profiles may edit huge Customs Operations with no issues (all are on XP SP3, IE 8).
But what part of Windows?

Does it happen on all survey features? On my end, it only occurs on those features with more than a certain number of custom operations. I have not determined the number where the problem begins, but it might be something as simple as the number that can be displayed in the dialog box without vertical scroll bars.
On features with only a few, I can easily edit them.
The long ones. if I edit the XIN in Notepad++, they function as designed, but if I open to view or edit the custom operations, they look scrambled and if I am not careful, is seems to detect that I edited them and offers to save the edits - which I always have responded no, fearing to save it would scramble the custom operations in the XIN too.
I don't think that there is a max line number but rather a sum of bytes where editing fails.
AHA! That could very well be the true issue.
This is still a problem in the newest SelectSeries 2 versions. I have not looked at it in Ss3.
