Alignment Conversion - Geopak to InRoads

What is the best way to convert alignments back and forth between Geopak and InRoads?  I am working with alignments that include spirals and have not had success automating the process.  The best way that I have found currently is to convert using graphics but I have had to manually adjust the spirals each time after conversion.  Is there a better way?

I have done some searching and read about an InRoads add in for Geopak translation but I do not seem to have that add in available.

  • Be careful of station equations.  I have noticed recently that the landxml format is closer to Inroads then Geopak in that it assigns a profile to an alignment.  Geopak stores the equation inside the profile whilst the LandXML format doesn't.  Its tied to the alignment.  I know you can export multiple profiles per alignment, just make sure you realize that the profile will adopt the station equations of the chain you are exporting.
