Alternate Surface Triangulation

I am using Microstation Select Series 2 and Geopak Corridor Modeler.  My template is set up to have alternate surfaces for base course and subgrade.  I know that Corridor Modeler cannot triangulate vertical surfaces, so I set the alternate surfaces to be near vertical (i.e. very small horizontal offset).  However, Corridor modeling will still not triangulate the near vertical surface.  Is there a setting in Corridor Modeler that sets a tolerance for the minimum slope for triangulation?

I have also noticed this with retaining walls.  I create the retaining wall template with a very large slope so that they are near vertical (i.e. 1:10000), and sometimes corridor modeler will triangulate the wall and other times it will not.  It seems that it is based on the height of the wall and thus leads me to believe that Corridor Modeler has a minimum offset for triangulation.

Any thoughts that you might have are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul
