InRoads: Problem of Modeling a berm

Please see the screen shot below, I have modeled a berm by Apply Template along the cyan line, I want the berm ends at the yellow line, how can I make this happen? I could trim the feature lines to the yellow line, but this will trim the berm component as shown in the second screen shot.

I would appreciate if anybody can kindly share your expertise.  Thanks in advance.

  • This is actually a common yet somewhat tricky situation.  The only solutions I have seen are to use point controls to force the left side (top as shown) of the template to follow the "Yellow" line.  A similar method using point controls can be applied to the origin point, to force it to follow the yellow line until it gets to the blue line, where the blue line will take over, this method requires a modified template for the first portion of the run.

I see from your explanation that you may be appling a template directly to a graphic element.  The explanation above requires the use of the Corridor Modeler point controls.  This situation is similar to the modeling process used to desing a raoad way intersection, where a side road connects to a mainline road at a skew.  If you look for intersection design discusions or example you may find better explanations.
