hi,
i am very new to inroads & i am trying to figure out how to annotate the slope(s) in each of my cross sections? i can create the cross sections but i need to show the slopes on the sides. any help would be greatly appreciated. i am using v8i (SS2) version along with microstation v8i (ss2) as well.
thank you,
cj
Once the XS set is created, head back to the Evaluation > Cross Section > Cross Sections tool. Click on the Annotate XS folder this time. Make sure you select the surface you are interested in, then enable the ‘Include Segments’ option in the Segments folder and a little lower, get the X next to ‘Slope’. Tweak the settings and symbology for size, location, etc. Good Luck.
Visit the VAOT CAD Standards web page. They have an InRoads manual that shows how to place crossing features in a set of cross sections and then to annotate the slopes between different groups of crossing features to annotate certain slopes but not others.

brandon,
thanks! i had already tried that & i am not able to get anything to show. it seems logical for that to be the proceedure, but i am unable to get anything to be shown (annotated). When in that "proceedure" a "box" appears around the xs so it appears to "acknowledge" that the xs are known ........ still no able to work though.
thanks!!
ok ok i think i got it....... i did no "check" the "include segments box ( :( ) dooooh!, at the top of the annotate cross sections dialog box in the sements-general-location.... the slope designations appear now i just have to get them t olook right! LOL!!
thanks guys,
