  • What kind of problems are you having?

I have used it in earlier versions and was able to do almost everything in AutoCAD with InRoads that I could in MicroStation. I had access to both and was more comfortable in MicroStation but often had no choice but to work in AutoCAD.

Our current workflow is only for Survey, so my recent experiences are not using any profile tools.

(By the way - all capital letters is considered shouting, according to the rules of the net.)

  • Caddcop, i completely forgot that i was using all caps, anyway it is noted.  Actually am new to inroads and am seriously working hard to really learn how to use it.   Basically these are the problems am facing anytime i tried to create the plan views in autocad.

    1. First, when i click on the apply button while in model space in autocad, the process will begin and suddenly my autocad will not respond anymore, and i have to terminate and restart inroads and autocad.

    2. Secondly, i decided to try it in paper space, now when i click on the apply button it process and creates the views, but  it creates the views such that they appear scattered around and very tiny, i mean they just don't look right, my match lines are not in their proper location also the north arrow is also not in d right place, also my border is rotated and scattered around.

Pls Caddcop, can you please share your workflow with me when you are using the plan and profile generator cmd  specifically using inroads and autocad. I don't mind if u can give me an indepth explanation. Thanks

  • I suggest you post the version of AutoCAD, OS and ram.

You might also check with support. They should be the first line of defense. I will post here for suggestions and occasionally to seek help with a problem, but logging a TR is a good idea whenever you cannot get the software to run without locking up.

I have not used plan and profile generator with AutoCAD but have cut cross sections. However it was many version ago - AutoCAD 2000 and who knows what version of InRoads.
