For those of you who may not have heard, a SELECTseries 2 Civil Update (08.11.07.566) is avaiable for GEOPAK, InRoads and MX. The update (not a full install but a true update) can be downloaded from the Select Services downloads page.
Here are a few details about the update that may be helpful. T
1. You will not see the updates listed under the Filter By > Download Category > Select Released Products. You must change the category to Filter By > Download Category > Enhancements and Updates in order to see them.
2. All future deliveries of the SELECTseries 2 Refresh will be done via the update format unless for some reason a full install may be warranted.
3. The updates are comprehensive. In other words, any future updates will include all fixes/enhancements from previous updates.
4. This first update (08.11.07.566) must installed on top of the last released version (08.11.07.536).
5. Once installed, the updates are listed separately from the full install in the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
6. Once installed, the product splash screen will still show 08.11.07.536. However, the Help > About will show the update version 08.11.07.566.
7. To un-install an update, you must un-install 08.11.07.536, which will in turn un-install any and all updates.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions just post them here and we'll do our best to answer.

Derricke,
I see in the Readme that some of the updates apply to SS1. Was there ever a prior update issued for SS1?

Neil: "Updates" were never implemented until SS2. In SS1, there are multiple releases which performed the same function as updates which is to provide bug fixes and sometimes new functionality. The difference is that in SS1 these were full releases. IE 700MB (give or take) downloads. All the SS1 releases are avaialble for download on Select.
In SS2, there were also a couple of full releases, but we have now implemented ability to do updates. Serves the same function but the download is much smaller and a similar easing of the burden to roll out and install.

Thank you for the explanation Robert. Part of the reason for my inquiry is that since we are not on Select we do not have access to the full releases that were issued for SS1 and thus we have no recourse to get our bugs fixed. I realize this is not in your scope of service but the way it was handled previously feels unfair to those of us who purchased the software but could not afford Select after the downturn.
Hi,
And when can we expect SS3?
