Cross-section Annotation of components or DTM's

I need to annotate my cross-sections showing the computed areas and volumes of my pavement layers and subgrade on each section. I have made my subgrade type to subgrade and the rest of my pavement courses to substratum. I am able to produce a xml report withe style "EndAreaVolume.xsl" sheet. The information is good and would like to annotate my sections with this information.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • If you have a single Cross Sections dialog box, Open the End Area Volumes leaf and the last item is Annotation.

Any items with a precision column is text.

The Tabulated items will report on components.

For some reason, the cut and fill areas are not stacking like the others. I do not recall them not stacking in the past. And they seem to need  different styles for left or right to align them in an orderly fashion. This may be another one of those "improvements" that add significantly to the number of styles needed.

  • Make sure the Tabulated Area options are toggled ON and that should add the annotation to the location specifed, Top Left for Area and Top Right for Volumes if set as shown below.

  • Mike, Thanks again for the help!.

The Tabulated Areas and Volumes are base upon the "Style" associated with the component. If you have multiple components with the same style the calculations are totaled in the quantified annotation of the section. Be careful about naming your styles. Mulitple styles for mulitple components should be used.
