Perhaps I am trying to use the wrong tool to do this, but I am having an issue trying to get my side slopes to draw correctly. I have a diamond interchange and I am currently modeling the ramps. I have a corridor "complete" for the mailine and the existing ground surface. When I am doing my ramps, I want the side slopes on one side to target the mainline corridor and on the other side target the existing ground surface. What is the best was to do this?
Thanks for any help provided,
Ken
When defining the targets in the templates for the different end conditions where is says "active surface" you can type a different value here. So in your example you would type "Proposed" for all the EC that should target the mainline and "Existing" for all the EC to target the existing surface. After syncing the template with the IRD go into the Target Aliasing section and Proposed and Existing should be possible targets. Add corridors and surfaces as necessary.
A second way to do this would be to define only one EC aliasis, for example "Existing". Then in the target aliasis box add both the proposed corridor and the existing surface. The order they appear in the right column is the priority order they will solve when the corridor is processed.
Hope that helps.
Marc
Thanks for the help, Marc. I will give this a try and see what happens.
Hi,
You can find here: www.bentley.com/.../InRoads two presentations about ramp modelling and target aliasing:- Gore Tools in Roadway Designer,- Modelling Multiple Corridors in Roadway Designer. They may be helpful for You.Regards, Krzysztof
