Running InRoads V8i - This is the first superelevation I have tried to create in a model. Two curves close together with superelevation in opposite direction, designed with a continuously rotating plane between curves. I first ran the wizard to set up the calculated s.e. and it looked good. I then went into the s.e. display and tried to modify points/control lines so that the lines passed through zero at the correct station with 0% cross-slope but the corridor is still running showing a crown break at the rotation point between curves. Am I missing something or is there a better way to do this with roadway designer?
When you use Superelevation Wizard in the last step you
Fix Superelevation Overlaps. There is an option - Apply Full Super to Full Super Planar Transition - when checked on, no points on superelevation lines between fullsuper on both curves would be created.
Another way is to mannualy delete these points out of superelevation lines. Hit process all button in roadwaydesigner before checking results.
If you have no points between fullsupers on superelevation lines, and still have crown break at the rotation point, you should chceck PointControls.
Does it help?
Best,
Adam

Thanks for the tips. I ended up making one control line for all three supers because inroads didn't connect the separate control lines completely through the level section, even though the end points of the control lines were at the same station.
