We were recently upgraded to begin using Inroads SS2 from Inroads XM. I loaded our XIN file that was created in Inroads XM and discovered that there are some problems with the previsiously saved preferences in XM. After viewing the various new settings that SS2 offers, I can see why there might be some difficulty.
I have begun the process of changing the preferences to our company standards once again, however the "save" and "save as" options are locked out which does not allow me to save any of the newly changed preferences.
1. Do I have to use some sort of XIN translator from XM to SS2?
2. Do I have to create the XIN file in Inroads SS2 and copy over all the preferences, symbologies, styles?
Is there a lock toggle I have to turn off in order to allow me to save the newly created preferences in SS2?
I would appreciate the help.
Thanks!
Thanks caddcop. Deleting the LCk file worked.
If no one is in InRoads with that XIN loaded, look for an LCK file in the same folder and delete it.
While in InRoads you can right click on it in the InRoads explorer pane and select Details and it will tell you who it thinks has it opened - this info comes from the LCK file.
