I am a new geopak user and am attempting to label cross sections which I have cut using my existing ground surface and my finished grade surface generated using the corridor modeler. I have tried three different ways to label the elevations and offsets and only one of the ways is giving the correct elevations on the cross sections. I would prefer to be able to use the other two approaches to labeling the cross sections. This is what I have done:
Using the cross section labeler under the Roads/Cross Sections/Cross Section Labeling Menu (which is associated with the Cross Section Navigator) I can get the correct elevation if I select the point I want to label if I select it using a data point. If I try and select the point I want to label using a XS element (a piece of text with its origin located at the appropriate point) the elevation generated is a couple tenths higher than what it should be.
I have also attempted to label the points using the cross section labeler found within the Corridor Modeler. I set up the appropriate Elevation and Offset labels using the point names selected from the Cross Sections and when it is run not all of the cross sections in the selected range are labeled while the ones that are labeled are have elevations that are over a hundred feet off. This would be my preferred method of labeling the cross sections.
Any help in figuring out what I am doing incorrectly would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Rick
