This behaves differently than XM. The V8i modeler creates multiple graphics groups instead of a single one. Is there any workaround to get the surface features

Re: InRoads V8i Roadway Designer

We do use the update 3D plan/surface display. One of our users wants to view, test and delete features from the surface as easily as she did in InRoads XM. In V8i, feature ignore the graphics group lock, regardless of how they are displayed.

Re: InRoads V8i Roadway Designer

Have you used the Update 3D/Plan tool? It's under the View Surface menu?

I find I don't need to rely on Graphic Groups as much with it. Although it is equally important to remember that if you are emptying a surface, that you must use the tool to erase the old graphics otherwise they become orphaned and no longer respond to the tool.

I also seldom display my features from Roadway Designer as it displays all features, not just the top surface ones. Instead I use either the aforementioned tool of the View Features tool.
